Stember Feinstein Doyle Payne & Cordes welcomes referrals from and partnerships with law firms and individual practitioners. We have a long history of working with other lawyers in substantive areas in which we have decades of experience.

Our lawyers have enjoyed working with the many firms and individual lawyers with whom we have co-counseled class action cases in districts throughout the United States. We have found that combining our legal resources with those of other firms often works to maximize clients' interests and recoveries.

We have a reputation for being flexible and reasonable when it comes to working out these arrangements, and have a track record of negotiating creative referral and fee sharing arrangements that are mutually rewarding. Teaming up can also be a good idea in individual cases.

We concentrate our practice in employment and labor, with an emphasis on ERISA and employee benefit class actions involving retiree health, medical benefits, pensions, and fiduciary breaches. We have successfully litigated numerous retiree health class actions. We are currently involved in a number of ERISA class actions involving bank-related plan fiduciaries who breached their obligations by investing assets of individual plan accounts in company stock when it was not prudent to do so.

If your firm has a client with a claim that is within our areas of practice, we encourage you to contact us to discuss the possibility of a litigation joint venture. We are amenable to serving as lead counsel or co-counsel, or in other supporting roles. We pride ourselves on producing a high quality work product. At the same time, we understand your relationship with your client and we will respect that. We will also work hard to make certain that we work together - as partners.

Our experience in complex civil litigation may be of use to you, your client and your case. Do not hesitate to call us to discuss whether teaming up makes sense in your case.
